2022 List of Significant Accomplishments

 

Thanks to the volunteer work from the members and friends of MAHS, 2022 was another successful year in both maintaining and in growing our historical past.  Check out our accomplishments in the list below!

Storage shed- tuff shed built on concrete base west of Ivor Davies Hall, Thanks to Shirley Patton for organizing this much needed addition

 

Vendor Event Pop up in February, raised funds for Share the Love and for MAHS, Thanks to Debbie Culmsee and Amy Hansen for organizing

 

House inspection on 4 buildings was done by residential real estate inspector

 

Window coverings/sun proof curtains made for Ivor Davies Hall-thanks Sheri Obrien, Ardeth Woods, Patty Wallace, and Joanne Meier for planning, sewing, and hanging the curtains

 

New laser printer/scanner obtained for library, thanks Debbie Culmsee for choosing and doing the dreaded shopping, as well as small overhead scanner, donated by Iris Riley

 

Cupola seating replaced (thanks to Lily Valov and Carolyne Bush)

 

New chimney on VonderAhe house funded by Kinsman Foundation

 

Class Reunion held at Ivor Davies Hall, thanks to Ed Appleman and Chuck Tyler for organizing

 

New custom built library cabinets thanks to Dave and Tim Snodderly of Foothills Cabinetry for Molalla Area Research Library expansion project, funded by donations from Ann and the late Norb Wellman, and various public donations. Library dedicated to the memory of Dorothy Del Ridings, mentor to many, co- founder of the MAHS.

 

Stumps ground from Port Orford Cedars prep area for new apple trees, thanks to Shirley Patton

 

Historic apple tree on N side of Dibble house removed due to safety issues, Planters made out of hollow trunk, thank you Victoria Knight

 

Another successful (Molalla Heritage) Apple Festival, Many thanks to everyone for a year of hard work to make this happen, and Victoria for coordinating the myriad of details involved

 

Ground around Tuff Shed sprayed for weeds (Dave), landscaping tarp laid and  4 yards of bark dust applied thanks to Pacific Forest Products for the donation and  Glen Boreth for spreading it in the rain, (and Dave for unloading it from Glen’s small truck in the windy rain)

 

Enrolled in the OPRD MentorCorps program, IT specialist Cam Amabil is our mentor
